Hello everyone,
York College of PA’s SIFE team has entered the blogosphere!
We took this step in order to create a more transparent organization. Now, all members, all faculty advisors, all B.A.B members, and all fellow SIFE teams can see what is going on with our organization as it happens.
We have a website (www.yorkSIFE.org), which allows you to view all current members (with a pictures of most), all Faculty Advisors, all B.A.B members and all of our projects. If you haven’t already, I would check it out.
What the blog allows us to do that the website does not:
- Now we can easily post all of our meeting minutes, which means if you happen to miss a meeting, you can easily catch up on what went on at the meeting.
- A blog allows the viewer to subscribe to it. You can subscribe by clicking the orange icon in the address bar or the link on the left under RSS Feeds. You can subscribe to the blog with all major RSS readers, some of the more popular are My Yahoo!, Google and Mozilla Firefox Live Bookmarks. The RSS feed will notify you each time something is posted on the blog.
- A blog allows the viewer to comment on any post. Now, we have a quick and easy way to get immediate feedback from our members, advisors and fellow SIFErs.
I hope you can see the many positives that the blog will bring to our SIFE team, and I hope you find it worthwhile to subscribe.
Let the blogging begin!
-Michael Crane (Treasurer & Webmaster – 2009-2010)
